Because you have to be 13 but does that mean you don't have to ask?

I don't think you have to ask, but I believe I would ask.

Facebook may feel that you can have an account at 13, but your parents may feel otherwise.
Since you are a minor and not paying for anything (including your computer and internet access), you should ask your parents permission. If they say no, you need to accept that. I will link an article on kids going on the internet in case your parents immediately say "no". It gives some "rules" for parents and kids to follow. Some may be good for your family, some may not. It may help to go over them with your parents to see which ones they feel comfortable abiding by. Nowadays, parents have a lot to worry about when it comes to their kids using the internet. It's up to you to let them know you can be responsible. Good luck. |
