Internet on my new laptop isn't working?

So I got a Lenovo ideapad z500. I did the whole setup process which included setting up my wireless and so I did. After I had done this the laptop restarted and I could begin using it. My laptop says my internet is connected with 3/5 bars which is alright however when I go to internet explorer it says..

waiting for http://www.lenovo.com - this is the default homepage as i havent't changed it yet

then after 5 minutes it says there is a connection problem but how?

I restarted the router and besides I'm typing on my internet with my old laptop now anyways so there can't be a problem there. When I went on troubleshoot connection problems nothing came up so now I don't know what to do. The internet doesn't seem to work on my new laptop.

Its really important as I need to download stuff on my new computer.
What do I do?

This is the one thing i hate about yahoo answers, there's no real "communication..."

So, i'll try and help you through 1 answer..

Solution 1:

Open your search bar and go to device manager.
Open up the networking slot and ensure that all devices in there are working properly..

or well, that's all i can think of..
