I'm and American moving to Denmark and I want to get an iphone! What do I do?

So I'm unsure of how long I will be living in Denmark, it could be 3 months to two years. I'm guessing it will be around 1 year though. I'd like to get an iphone and I'm thinking I should buy one in the states unlocked. Would that be a wise decision? I'd like an iphone for the camera, and apps like instagram to stay in touch with my family and friends. Any advice would be great! I'm so confused!

you can just buy any unlocked iphone and use it in Denmark

Buy a Galaxy S3 instead..
On a more serious note.. Buy it in the states , most likely it will be half price if not more of what it will be in Denmark, as with everything else.
