through and from my mobile phone. It was on 60 minutes on Sunday, March 8th. How is it that everyone can see wherever I am. Is there anything I can do to stop them all from being able to freely have access to seeing wherever I am due to my mobile phone?

Problem; Depending on what social apps you have installed and the permissions of these particular apps they are now incorporating the features you spoke about. Last month I installed then quickly uninstalled a texting app (can't remember which one) but it said it could show me the latest tweets, facebook posts and google map locations of people in my contact list and they could also see me if they had a similar app.
Basically turn off your WIFI and DATA connections when not in use and turn off "Location Service" in your device. If you have Google Maps turn that off as well unless you need it.
The only problem is that if you have a Lost or Stolen phone tracking app (which you should) it won't work.
So in that case uninstall all social media like facebook twitter etc and texting apps that your friends also have or set them up so you log out when closed. Some people enable facebook etc to retain passwords and stay constantly logged in. If you stay logged in then they can follow your where abouts.
Lastly you can go to a photo store and buy a lead lined pouch and put your phone in it. We used to use these to stop airport scanners destroying film and it also stops transmissions, but stops phone calls.
But the easiest thing is to get rid of all social apps which connect you to your friends on your phone. Then they can't track you.
