Help in downloading zip/rar files?

The zip files I download are always corrupted maybe due to slow internet connection at home.
Is there anyway to fix this?
or
Is there a downloader for zip/rar files that will give me the full file?

There is nothing special about downloading these files. You could install a download manager if your network connection isn't staying up long enough to complete the download of your file, this will allow the download to resume where it was interrupted.

Along with what he mentioned in his answer try using a different downloading site if the first one doesn't work or go into task manager and search through tasks besides browser and Internet Security that are using network memory and see if you can end them at least until you get it downloaded.
