Coax Versus Fiber (Internet Connection)?

My Internet Provider runs on a fiber backbone all throughout my area, I'm connected to that fiber backbone via coax. My question is, if I switch from Coax to Fiber to connect will it improve my internet connection? I ask this question with xbox live in mind.

This is at home by the way, so I don't have 5 connections running at the same time, at most probably 2 including my xbox.

If you are asking if it will increase your internet speed the answer is no. Whatever you do with your network it will not affect your internet connection particular in increasing the speed. Internet speed is being controlled by your ISP....good luck...jexter@eastern.com.ph
