Effectiveness of web ads?
How effective is web advertising?

Is it overall more or less effective than advertising on television?

Nintendo's been doing less TV advertising and focusing more on web advertising, and I don't think it's working.

Super effective. It's what I do for a living. It's 100 times cheaper, reaches targeted audiences and a lot of what I do is through social media, FB, Twitter and about 50 other networks which is free advertising.

A lot of the big name companies are still slow to get into the web ad stuff. It works really well when you're promoting a niche product.

It is just as annoying as TV advertising has ever been. Sooo!! Darren you are one of those advertisers that smear ads all over our websites! It's not enough TV ads are longer, louder and occur more frequently. Now we can't escape them on our computers either. Magazines have become nothing but advertising journals with a few articles sprinkled here and there. We "consumers" (spenders) are extolled to save by buying this thing or that thing that is so much "better". Of course we never know what it is better than. Gone are the days when saving money meant keeping it rather than spending it. Now we have to spend... spend ... spend in order to save! Does anyone see just how incongruous such a statement is. I am willing to bet a whole lot of people other than me are totally few up with all this in-your-face advertising.

The reason that the internet has become a great place to advertise your business is because most individuals are on the internet - not reading a newspaper. It just makes perfect since.

There are ways to advertise yourself while not being in the eyes of people that really don't want to see it.
