boyfriend wont put relationship status on facebook...HELP?
so here is the deal: I have been exclusively dating this guy for over a year. I stay with him every Thursday night till Monday morning.. EVERY week. (I'm in college and he lives a little while out and I live in a dorm so it just makes sense..)
anyway, we hang out during those days of the week, we text constantly and call each other constantly and we even play video games during the late hours of the night so we are together online even if we are miles apart.
I recently looked on his facebook this past weekend, he left it open and I just invaded his privacy, sadly and I seriously didnt find a message from a girl on his facebook that he was flirting with. I mean there was literally maybe 5 in like months spread out but it was stuff like hey go to this party bring your gf or work out type stuff and I have heard of these girls before and ive met them, their his high school friends.
Anywho! We are getting super serious, have been since last mid-summer...we flew to Orlando together for fall break and we always go out. I have met all of his best friends and just every one in between, his parents know he is dating me so it isnt new news to anyone..
HOWEVER... he wont put "in a relationship" on facebook because he thinks that I am too obsessed with facebook and only people who are obsessed over social media actually care. He said the important people who need to know that we are in a relationship know, and he always is tagging me and us in sstuff and checking us in on facebook and posting our pictures on his wall so its pretty apparent..
I know some couples who have been together for 4 years and they dont have that listed on their facebook too so I am starting to think that it is personal preference and maybe I am overreacting?

I wouldn't worry about it. He probably thinks it's tacky or annoying when other people do it and doesn't want to be like that.
