It's a game where you build a farm and plant stuff. It is annoyingly popular in facebook. I had to block the app.

It is a game. It has virtual money, so I think it uses real money somehow, or you can earn points / convert to farm cash ... something.

It's a farm game where you create your own land with crops and other cool items (such as fences, barn, tents, picnic, etc.)

FarmVille is a real-time farm simulation game developed by Zynga, available as an application on the social networking website Facebook. The game allows members of Facebook to manage a virtual farm by planting, growing and harvesting virtual crops, trees, and raising livestock. Since its launch in June 2009, FarmVille has become the most popular game application on Facebook, with over 75.2 million active users and over 18.1 million fans in January 2010. FarmVille started as a clone of the popular Farm Town on Facebook.

It's a game. You customize a character and own a farm. You plow the land, buy seeds and plant them, then wait for the plants to grow. You then harvest your produce. You can decorate your farm with barns, houses, ponds, fences etc... There are also a variety of fruit trees you can put all over the farm, and you can own animals like cows, chickens, horses, sheep, pigs etc.
Harvesting your produce, trees and animals earns you money, which can be used to buy more seeds and farm decorations. In the game you progress to higher levels by gaining experience points.
I used to play Farmville but found it was way too time-consuming so I stopped!
