Questions about ebay ?
So im bidding on 2 objects on ebay for the first time and im knew to this bidding . Both of the objects im bidding on come from hong kong and there approval rate for the person who is selling is 97 and 98% so I think there safe .

One of the Bid's are about to end in 1 hour . I bided and it say's it only accepts PayPal . I thought they take the money from the account once you win by themselves ? I already bid the amount of money and no one seems to want to go any higher so IDK what to do if I win . Do they take it from the account immediately or something ??

Its not my credit card its my mom's and she said it was okay for me to bid on it if I won I would get it . But I'm cautious when using her card and I don't want to make a mistake when trying to buy it . Its free shipping so the price is just as is .

The question ~ Are they just gonna take the money like that if I already have a card on my account , or do I have to go and press accept and verify my address and stuff ?? Like I don't want to make a mistake buying it .

My experience with eBay has always been that the seller doesn't get your money unless you manually perform the transaction.

My experience with eBay and PayPal tells me the following:

If you only have a credit card and they only accept PayPal, you'll probably still be able to make the purchase, because PayPal allows buyers to enter their credit card info for a purchase instead of opening a PayPal account, so try that.

I've never used a credit card on eBay, but I wouldn't count on them automatically deducting anything from it, especially if the seller says they only accept PayPal.

For the future, you should really just have one of your parents create a PayPal account. It's free and easy, and will make your future eBay purchases go much more smoothly, since 99% of eBay items are PayPal only.

Ebay will not just take your money
You will get an email saying that you are highest bid and you need to pay for the item. You can set up a paypal account anytime throughout or after the bidding. When you do that there is a screen that will ask you for bank account info and/or credit/debit card info. Enter your card number and paypal will use that card when you have a zero balance in your paypal account. You have to authorize the payment. It will not be automatically deducted.

You pay with Paypal, as it says. That is the form of payment most Ebay seller accept. Only big retailers take credit cards directly. If both items are from the same seller they can combine the shipping. Wait until the auction ends and you get an invoice with shipping cost. Read the listing. If seller does not accept credit cards, you have to open a Paypal account. You can email the seller if you dont know.

Wait for the invoice or an email that says Pay Now which takes you to your Paypal account. The seller will receive your shipping information. Remember, Ebay is not a store. It is a trading place for individual buyers and sellers and each seller sets their own terms of sale.

I never buy from China but Hong Kong may be better. Some items take a long time to arrive.
