Awkward kid who always wants to chill with me.?

Hey people,

I was elected the vice-president of my biochemistry major so I have to be friendly to almost everyone. During the first day of the winter term, I had to do a presentation in front of all the students. During my second class of the day, the loner who sits in the front of the class started talking to me. You know when you are elected you have to be social to everyone. After a 20 minutes conversation that was going no where, he wanted to create a study group for some of our biochemistry classes so that we could work together. Feeling sorry for him, I said you can join my study group and OH GOD THAT WAS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE.

He now follows me everywhere, he sends me Facebook messages all time, he is constantly texting me, he waits for me after class and he is always asking me what are you going to do this weekend. Like I am a really nice person and I do care about people but I personally dislike when people try so hard to get close to you. Friendship can't be forced. We nothing in common. Its so annoying that I hate going to class since I cannot speak to any of my boys anymore. How do I get rid of someone that socially awkward, he doesn't understand any of the signs. I don't answer his Facebook messages anymore but I make sure to leave the little seen at XXXX.

I have no clue what to do... I am the vice-president of our major but still I have a right to have a personal circle of people that I chill with and the kid just doesn't fit in that circle...he is just 2 awkward. I just don't feel inviting people at my personal parties that I don't know yet. You feel me? Sorry for english mistakes, not my first language.

Thank you for answering so fast! I am literally at 80% to tell him to screw off. Last friday, I went to eat suchi with a good friend of mine and now he is telling me about all the suchi restaurants in Montreal and how we should go to one during the weekend. I was boiling with ANGER. HOW CAN SOMEONE BE so fucking awkward.

Why would I go to a restaurent with a random guy during the weekend...

How can I tell him that he can't force himself into my personal life. Like we have the school life but thats it.

Clearly he wants to be your friend, and he doesn't speak to anyone else so you should respect that hes talking to you, especially if hes shy and awkward. You should tell him to calm down a little and that you still want to be his friend but don't be rude about it because it'll make him feel crappy. He might not have much experience with friendship, let him learn.
