Does anyone have any tips to help a poor struggling family?
With everything becoming so expensive my wife and I are finding it difficult to save money. We have a child that brings in a fairly good income for us from Centrelink and we are about to put him on a disability pension so that we can earn a bit more. My wife is on a carers pension to look after our son and I am on a disability pension for Asthma. We also own a housing commission house that we rent out to some international students.
We are finding that in spite of all of this we have had to cut down significantly in our spending recently and have no longer even been able to afford to eat out every night. Are there any benefits that we are missing here? Ads |

Cut cable Internet & cell phones.
Eat on a budget, use coupons, but in sale! Par coupons with sale items. Watch turning lights on for to long. If neither are working cut back to 1 car. Also sell off unneeded items. Extra TV, etc. |
