Why can I not motivate myself to do anything?
It's been going on ever since I finished school. I took up a course that was supposed to take me 6 months (the time limit is 2 years, but could be done in 6 months), but its been almost over a year. I also study a youth helper course, and I work casually. Instead of just diving in and doing the study I need to do, I procrastinate and spend a lot of time on Facebook and reading books and watching TV, and hanging out with friends. I don't want to do these things all the time! I really want to study and get it over with, and the guilty feeling especially overwhelms me at night. Every night (I'm not exaggerating) it nearly physically hurts because I'm saying to myself how stupid I am for not getting stuff done, and it keeps me awake. I promise myself that in the morning, I will be productive and get these courses done. But when I wake up, I get distracted and do other stuff, even though I can't enjoy the other stuff properly because the study is always in the back of my mind. Is something wrong with me?

You can take a long sleep and then think about yourself. If your stamina back then start you own work.

You may not have the structure in your life that you had when you were in school. You need to develop those regular routines -- getting up around the same time, getting to class, studying in the evenings, etc. -- instead of fiddle-farting around and wasting time.
