i have google chrome as my default search engine, but yahoo has taken over, very annoying! how do i get rid..?

i recently opened a yahoo email as a secondary address, it is since then that yahoo has been overriding my default settings. is this like a virus? i have tried the settings and the default programmes to no avail! i just dont like being forced to change when i dont want to! thanks for any ideas.

Google Chrome is a browser not a search engine. Click the button at the right hand side of the address bar, then click settings, there you can select which search engine you want to use by default
