I have a friend on fb who is over 30 and constantly posting...every little detail of her life...they are usually related to how great her job/coworkers/friends are or her nephew or new boyfriend...also lots of "mushy" meme's about love or friends whatever...what is going on with this person?

ps dont forget selfies

she obviously likes facebook.

Some people do, some people don't. There is no magical age line to prohibit people over 30 to not like it. Expecting that there is one is silly.

She likes the attention...nowadays especially with reality tv people believe their life is more interesting than everyone else so they try to share as much of it as they can...if you really want to show her that you don't like it or what not then play a prank on her...tell her she has been casted on the next big reality tv series after seeing her posts on facebook...

It doesn't bother me. I'm 80 and I check facebook every day. My son is 49 and he posts almost every day.
People over 30 lead lives which are much more interesting than younger people.

I see young people posting everything they do. They will post that they just woke up, took a shower, or drank a glass of tea. It is annoying, especially when people take a picture of their food....silly. But it's not limited to older people, it's young teenagers and tweens too. Yeah I think it depends on the person and not their age.

fb is fb and your timeline is your to do what ever you want to do with it, fb is a very addictive tool so may she just like the attention and that sort of thing, im 43 i like fb but im not one for positing comments on there everyday and i don't put pictures of family or friends on there because im a private person, but i do put the odd one of my cat on there from time to time so there really is no age limit to fb because young people do it too!!!!!!
