If he sent it through paypal you should have gotten an email from them, if you want to check login to your paypal account and it should be listed there and say something like "funds not yet available" (ebay waits 2 weeks to give you access, its normal). If neither of these are true then he did not send you money through paypal. Paypal doesn't need tracking info because it isn't only used for shipping things, I just sent money for services with it sometimes.
If your still concerned about it, contact ebay, they want to sale to go through so they get their fee.

"Pay pall has agreeded to release my funds upon updated tracking info"

Scam. The email is fake. FORWARD it unchanged to spoof@paypal.com and they will reply to let you know it wasn't sent by them.

"I just sold a digital code"

You just sold something that can not be tracked. Even if it wasn't a scammer they could still get their money back by claiming they never got it. You CAN NOT prove they got it even if you sent it a thousand times.

Go to eBay customer support and type in "digital delivery" and look at the rules. You've already broken them. eBay/PayPal offer NO protection with digital delivery.

SCAM

That is NOT from Paypal - it's a fake email

YOU NEVER send the tracking number before you go to Paypal.com and see the money IN your account and see it under your Ebay transaction history as paid

And a credit card company doesn't send checks - this guy is scamming you. Report it to ebay
