Online Relationship ...confused :(?

So me and him met through Yahoo chat rooms.
We just chatted carefree for 5-6 months without even knowing our actual names or professions.
Then he moved to US and me in India.
Still we continued chatting and exchanged numbers and talked over phone. Later we came to know each other's names and work details and checked out profile in Facebook.
Its been 1.5 years since then and we still continue chatting and from silly friendship , we have grown feelings for each other.
He has however asked me to come on Skype , but everytime I have been skeptical of my not-so-pretty average looks and found out some reason to avoid .in fear that it may stop our relationship altogether.
I know thats very immature.but i guess people act silly in matters of heat
Should I completely stop chatting with him or come up to Skype and see what it holds for me?
Its the fear of rejection that is stopping me

If you fear rejection it is better to face it now, rather than carry on as you are and later meet, and it all falls apart.
OK so you have average looks, but do you know what looks he has ? However, looks are not everything, sincerity, charm and the like are what is needed in a friendship, perhaps to become relationship. So take the plunge and go for skype, both he and you could be secretly pleased.

No time to waste to think about "What Ifs".. Just skype with him and see how things go. He knows the kind of personality you have. If he is happy with that then you don't have to worry but if he is more focussed on appearance then well he is not meant for you... sorry
