They won't get notified nor will they see it in their news feed. Only if they go on your timeline and view your info.

No They Wont Be Notified Changes That you Make Under Basic Info Do Not Get Posted to the News Feed The Only Way They Would See the Changes is If They Visit your Profile and Notice That you Updated it

I recently changed my employment details and hometown but I didn&#x27;t want all my friends seeing this in their newsfeed.. all I did prior to changing those details was change the privacy setting. So I just changed it to &quot;only me&quot;.. Then I changed my details and saved it.. However if you want people to see it, but not be updated on the fact you recently changed it, leave it as viewable by &quot;only me&quot; for maybe a day or two, and then change it to viewable by friends or public (whichever you want). This should keep it from showing up on your friends newsfeed. I hope this makes sense!

Oh and you have the option of changing who views your details (like hometown, workplace etc) for each category. So just go into edit profile from your time line and you&#x27;ll see!
