Internet cuts off but chat/games still load?

Hi!

For about a year now, my internet cuts off at 10 or 11 ish (I use an ethernet cable, not Wifi), but if I still have chat pages like facebook messenger still in my browser tabs, it will send me new messages and I can continue chatting. If I accidentally close the page and reloaded it, it says the internet won't connect.

Same with the games I play. For an example, the MMORPG I play. I will still be logged in past the time when the internet cuts off, and I can continue to play the game and talk with people. But once I re-log or change channels, I disconnect and I can't go back in.

Is there a way to fix this (I'd like to fix it so that the internet doesn't cut off)?

Sounds like a setting. I think your parents are shutting it off at that time. Who would pay for part time internet.
