My internet keeps saying no Internet connection when it's connected?
My Internet would work perfectly, sometimes when the modem shuts off, and turns back on, it'll work for about 4 hours, then say no Internet connection for about 2 hours, then back to normal.

Sometimes it does it randomly, and I have to wait 2 hours before it says Internet connection
The Internet doesn't work on any of my devices durin the 2-3 hour period

It's an arris Modem and a linksys router

When I began to experience similar issue, it turned out to be an outside wiring problem for me.

Open your router by typing in your IP address in a browser... find IP address by typing ipconfig in cmd. IPV4 is the one you want. Once you open your router settings, sign in and verify you do not have any time restrictions. I would also reset both modem and router and if possible have them tested with your ISP.

That's either something to do with your provider (e.g having maintenances) or your wiring. When this period occurs you should unplug the wire that goes from the wall to your router for about 10m, turn of router for 10m and switch back on & re-plug.

Should nothing change, find your Router 'IP', something lke 192.168.x.x and type into search bar, you'll see router provider's unique site for your router. You might need to enter a login, but the username is normally admin and password also admin, sometimes its also blank..

Once you login to your unique site look for 'Quick Setup' or something like that. Go through the setup, if you are atleast 1% not sure then make sure you contact Linksys for support and a walkthrough of setting up and filling out your individual computer data. Sounds hard? it's not, just follow the steps and advice and you should be able to fix this.

So im guessing the devices can connect but the router isnt connected. Try accessing your router's menu and connecting by opening 192.168.1.254 or whatever address is given by your router. Also try switching to one which is both a router and modem (like the aztech 1015EW) which may make it abit easier to troubleshoot. Check the connection between the modem and the telephone cable, and the telephone port. If it doesn't work ultimately complain to your ISP's customer service until they do something Big Grin
