English essay, why we spell phonetically?
Hi there,

I'm currently doing GCSE English, I was writing an essay/ assessment today that goes towards my final grade and well I got a little stuck. Luckily I have tomorrow to finish it. The whole idea of the essay is to compare the English language on different types of social media and how it differs between each one. I was beginning to write a paragraph on how we spell phonetically and how we spell things depending upon how we say them. For example I was writing about the fact I used 'ova' instead of 'over' when texting. I need atleast three reasons as to why we spell phonetically when texting. Please help me!

Thank you in advance!

I can give you one reason. It makes it faster to spell words like that when you're trying to text someone. To just shorten the word instead of having to type the whole thing out. Hope that helps a little

Look up the history of the English language on Wiki. Also it's use as THE internation language today.

If you can't find 3 examples in that you deserve an F
