Playstation 3 Wireless Internet Connection Problem?
I bought a Playstation 3 this week and i decided i would connect it up to the internet. So i went to the Settings section then to Network Settings then clicked on Internet Connection Settings. From there i choose Easy method, Wireless connection, then Scan.

From there i found my home router and clicked on it. I then confirmed that the name (SSID) was correct then since the router had a password on it a WPA password i clicked on the WPA option from there i entered the password which i had used to connect my Xbox, Laptops and iPod. I followed the password exactly as it was for each of the latter and even checked my documentation which my internet provider sent me. it was exactly the same as i had entered but each time i enter it CORRECTLY and i wait as it checks the settings and then it tells me, 'A connection to the access point could not be established. Check security setting for the wireless LAN.'

I have checked, double checked and re-checked and the password i enter is 100% correct but still not connection.

Can anyone please tell me what to i do and how do i get connected?
i have been getting the 8013013E error code in the top right hand corner also...

i have read that i should reset my router but i dont want too or know how any other ways??

firstly, make sure internet connection is enabled on the ps3. by the way if it is at all possible, use a Ethernet cable instead of a wireless connection because it is much much easier to set up and you don't need a wpa. second of all check the ip address is right, check the primary and secondary dns is right. your internet service provider will give you these details if you don't know them. try moving the ps3 closer, it is not a great console for picking up signal. if none of this works, use a custom set-up. you will need to enter pretty much every detail but it is well worth it in the end. i really hope this helps cause i know how frustration it is not to be able to get a ps3 online.

One option would be to reset the router so that you cna make a new passowrd and try it again.
The second option is that you can buy a long ethernet cable depending how far your PS3 is from the router. Remeber to plug the ethernet cable into the back of your PS3 and into one of the slots of your router.
This way is easier because you PS3 will automatically pick up the signal since it will be a wired connection.

IMPORTANT-- if you have internet connected to your computer, you have to go to your router setting to accept the PS3 so that it can gain internet access. I had to do that too.
Just google how to do it depending on your router model type.

go to this website and type in your error code
