help very easy question?
idk how to send a message to someone on Facebook without adding them? can you do that on a timeline?

When you're on their profile send message is next to add friend on timeline, well on mobile anyway, I never use a desktop

Yes, you can, but only if the person hasn't set privacy setting for it.
One can set privacy so that other unknown users can't message them. But usually people don't set it. I've also sent messages to many unknown ones without adding them. But I couldn't send a message to one person, & he'd different privacy settings. You can do it on timeline. Just see the action bar below the cover photo. It consists of actions such as 'add friend', 'Message', 'Other options', etc. You can find it exactly next to 'Add friend' button. But if an option of 'Message' doesn't exist, then the person has strict privacy settings. |
