Dating advice for a 17 year old girl?!?!?

On Wednesday, I posted a picture on twitter ( DM me something you've always wanted to tell me). Well the boy I've like since the beginning of my sophomore year(I'm a junior now) messaged me telling me that I was cute and he wanted to get to know me. I messaged him back and we've been talking since. He also walked me to 4 of my 7 classes on Friday. He said he wants to take me on a date(he said that online) but he was going to ask me in person at school. Well he said that on Saturday but school was canceled Monday and today so he asked me online.. I said yes but do you think that's weird? Also... I'm 17 and I have to tell my really strict parents before Friday, which is the date. But they might not let me go because my brother has a hockey game. So how can I tell them? This is my first actual date and I'm really nervous!!! Any advice for the date?!? I'm already pretty shy, also...?!?!?!?!?!

Relax. Commit to a day when you're free. I am sure he would be willing to go Saturday if you have to go to a hockey game. Don't tell your parents it's a date, just say you're hanging out with your friend to try to get to know him better (if you think they won't let you go out). I am sure he is as nervous as you.
