Why Do I Keep Getting Pop Ups on My Computer?

I have added a few things, updated adobe, java, maybe a few other things. I never ever had any pop-ups. Now, when I open another tab, I get all kinds of advertisements, at the bottom of the page, on the right side (talking too and driving me nuts), I just x out of them, but it is getting annoying since I never had them before. Is there anything I should look for in my control panel to uninstall. Sometimes when you add stuff other things come in on their heels (lol). Thanks for your help.

You will find the option to disable popups in your browsers options control panel. Verify that that has been checked. I recommend downloading software called MalwareBytes that will scan your computer for any malware that may be causing your issue.

Try a system restore. One of the programs you updated put in an ad program. Clear your cache. Clear cookies. If you downloaded a theme, restore default internet settings. If you do a scan, use your existing virus software. Populate your program list. If there are any you do not need, delete them. If your browser is firefox, get Google chrome.
