Will you get more followers if your instagram page is public or private?

But I was wondering will you get more instagram followers on or public? I was thinking it goes both ways ...

- Cause if it's ON PRIVATE then it's a mystery for people to find out. So that's why they click private. *Especially if your profile pic is great

- And if it's ON PUBLIC then people can see your pics and decide if they wanna follow, and you're more likely to get more followers.

It goes both ways, I see a lot of people that have many *FOLLOWERS with private and public pages! What do you think?!?
