Why won't they accept me on FB?

I'm in college now but I was and still am decently close to some of my old teachers from high school. I email and visit the school on occasion. I am friends with some on FB but some haven't accepted me. Or declined. It just says friend request sent. What's weird is that they are friends with other former students on FB...what do you think? I don't get it, because I don't post anything dumb or whatever. I know they care about me.

Just because you are decently close to a teacher doesn't mean that you are friends. Some teachers just think it's weird to accept students and former students on social media sites. Also some of them could just never go on their account and may not even know they have a friend request pending. You also have to remember how many students teachers encounter of the years. It is possible that some of them just don't remember you. Some people can be weird about facebook.

"I am friends with some on FB but others haven't accepted me." I personally choose not to accept former students as friends on FB; also, I don't have former teachers as friends on FB. It's just a choice, and doesn't reflect on the individual making the request. I'm a private person; perhaps some of your other teachers like to limit their exposure on FB as well.
