Internet connection problems...?

I have a laptop that used to get internet from using netgear. I used to use internet connections from someone around me. But not none of them work. It won't say "connected to router" and then "connected to internet" anymore like it did. Everything will just be red. I am getting very irritated by it. No matter where I am in my house nothing works. It has not worked for almost a year. If you got any suggestions on what may be the problem, I would greatly appreciate it.

Your neighbors probably put security on their wireless networks.

To get access, you need to talk to them and ask for their wireless "password".
But, if you had the wireless network, would you give the password to your neighbors?

The real solution is to have an internet connection installed in your home. CaLL Comcast or whoever is an Internet Service Provider (ISP) in your area.
