My Playstation 3 don't get internet connection?

ive had my PS3 for about 2 months and i never had a problem with going online, until during a thunderstorm my router got Zapped and had to get a new one. Now since i have a new router does not allow me online. When going through the internet connection test says "Obtain Ip address:Succeeded..but no internet connection. I use a Wired Internet connection no wireless and am not trying to get wireless connection Just trying to figure out so that i don't have to call and be put on hold for about 3 hrs Please neeed help!

go to the internet configuration and re select your internet. you must re choose it because the router is different so the ps3 can't find the original router. so don't test the internet. in the same option list, there is an option to choose the internet connections.
and then it may ask for a password, ask your parents what the password is. so don't even worry.
there's also a chance that your neighbor could have wireless and you can select their internet as well. and if this still doesn't work ((if you're choosing wireless)
choose wire, and connect your ps3 to the router. so it gets the internet directly to your ps3. this should for sure work.
otherwise.. your ps3 likes men.
