Should I thank her for the hug in fb private message?
Before I had my first day at work at this new job I got I wen't to the store at the mall she works at and I wen't over to say hi to her we are fb friends and told her well I have to go and gave each other a tight hug and she asked be where I was working I said Macy's mall and I rubbed her back too while hugging her and as I as I turned around I could see with the corner of my eye she was staring at me as I was leaving. And we have been talking to each other about how we will get coffee together a couple of weeks ago.
And she gave me her number before I just lost it.

No don't say thanks for the hug. If you do it'll look like you saw it as a mere formality maybe!

Wait till you both meet up again and have another hug.

And or course send her an Fb inbox but keep it cool without hug thanking but do ask her for the phone number you lost.

Be cool in general

Good luck
