Blackboard Collaborate Access Help?

I need to access Blackboard Collaborate to watch Class Connects for school.
I have the right version of Java that I need to open it, but when I click on this link to open it: Windows Media Player opens. When Windows Media Player opens it doesn't show up with the Blackboard Collaborate session I need to be in, How do get Java to open when I try to access my classes?

You'll want to right click the file (don't double click it to open) and select to open it with Java. The default for that file type is windows media player on your computer. So you just have to tell the computer to open it with Java instead.
