SEO is the process of improving the visibility of a website in search engine results through organic methods. More the website appears in the search engine means it will receive more visitors.

In a nutshell SEO is search engine optimisation and is the process of priming your site to gain better visibility and rankings in the search engines in response to specific search terms.

Good SEO involves the correct implementation of on-site factors that will aid your site's visibility: good semantic mark up, internal linking structures / link text, H tags, good content based on keyword research, correct use of title tags etc, even down to choosing favourable domain names.

A good backlink profile is also important - getting keyword based links to your site from related and preferably authority sites. If you can establish yourself as an authority within your subject area and attract links this will definitly help establish Page Rank, particularly "followed" links from high ranking sites with good PR that pass some of their page rank to your website.

I have been an SEO expert since 2001 and your site popularity is so important. Your site popularity is determined by the amount of backlinks that you have. No matter whatever techniques you use to drive traffic to your site, getting your site ranked on page 1 of google for all your keywords is essential for long term survival. I have been using Brute Force SEO for over a year and it is the best authority network building automated solution in the industry. With each run you get 1000's of backlinks that are inter-linked creating little authority wheels... giving you SEO juice that grows in power with each run. I have consistently reached page 1 on exact term competing websites with under 300,000 sites, in less than 3-4 weeks. it is worth every penny... By the way, the OTO gives you 2 years for less than 6 months of monthly charges.
