Is it weird to message someone you don't really know?

a guy i added a few months ago liked my profile picture on facebook, would it be weird to message him? i've never talked to him before or met him in real life but we have mutual friends

Worst comes to worst, he'll un-friend you on Facebook.

Talk to him, Guys like girls who take initiative, I'm pretty sure he'll love to talk to you since he liked your Facebook picture.

Just don't get too close as to giving your information away because you still don't know who sits behind that computer screen!

I'm not gonna say guys are pigs, but they kind of are. They'll really only like pictures if they find the person attractive. Or there's the other type of guy who's the cool guy, and if the picture he liked is a picture of you snorkeling or jumping out of an air plane, he might have liked it because he thought it was cool, and thinks your cool. He wouldn't like it if he didn't want you to notice.

I'd say just start out by saying hi. Also it would be best to talk to him in person, but if you don't know where to find him just message him hey on FB, and go from there without being weird. I mean don't tell him something to personal, just keep it to "shooting the breeze chatter". gl

Why are you adding people you don't know? There are plenty of weirdos and psychos out there. Even if one of my friends knew them doesn't mean that it's ok to talk to them.
