Why is TrustedInstaller.exe taking up 5gb of my RAM?

Hey,

I had some pop-up earlier saying that my system was almost using it's full RAM capacity, which seemed very strange, so I opened up task manager and there's some program called TrustedInstaller.exe using 5gb of RAM! Is this normal? What does the program do? Is it safe to close it?

its safe to close, sounds like a virus or some sh*t, do computer scans, also end the process tree and check in installed programs and your google chrome extensions to see if anything fishy is there.
