D-Link Router Says no internet connection when installing?
Im installing a D-link router for my cousin. I put the CD in and go through the steps until i get to the internet connection check. It says no internet connection. But when i go to Network connections it says i do. The internet works fine when plugged directly into the computer though.

If your Internet connection is a DSL, you might need to provide authentication to your D-Link Router. Since your computer might already have this info, it might seem to work well. This means that you need a username/password to access your Internet.

You might want to manage the router directly through the Web interface, not using the CD. Connect the PC to the router then using a browser, access the address 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 (depending on your configuration).

Then, it should be much easier to configure the router.

Good luck!
