Is it weird that I hate my own generation?

I'm 14 and i'm ashamed to be apart of this generation. Everyone is addicted to social media and texting. Everyone is always on their phones too. There are way too many people that obsessed with sex, drugs, and alcohol. But I especially hate the mainstream music that is being produced today as well as the bad movies and fashion. sometimes I wish I could have been a teenager in the 70s, 80s, and 90s. I hate the fact that the teenagers of today have no respect for anyone and are extremely arrogant towards others. I feel embarrassed when i see the way elderly people look at the idiots my age. anyone else feel the same way?

I'll be 16 in December , and I definitely agree . its ridiculous . I don't even understand what went wrong . almost everyone and everything went to the trash this time . wellp , I guess we could be friends . lol .

No it means you were born with a functioning brain. Just be yourself and dont let what others think dictate the way you act. I too hate the fact that people are so arrogant and have no respect for others. Whats scary is that these people seem to carry this into adulthood. The best thing you can do is ignore them. Also theres nothing wrong with the music you listen to. Those were the years when music was good. Seriously though compare these two songs
