Friends, can you help me make sense of this unique/rare situation?
I'm on a Facebook group that was created for fans of a TV show. People from all over the world are on it, there's probably like a thousand people on it.

I recently started talking to someone on one of the threads in the group, and we eventually became Facebook friends.

We talk all the time on Facebook now, and not about our favorite show that we both like, but about everything - even personal things. She's been very open and honest with me about a lot of stuff... and I've been too.

But why/how do you think this sort of thing happens? Is it "normal"? I mean, she's someone from a different state who I've never met... yet we talk to each other a lot. It just seems so "bizarre" to me, but in a good way.

Your situation isn't rare or unique, it happens all the time. I have good friends all over the world, friends I've never met and probably will never get to meet - but they are still good friends. Don't over think it, just enjoy it!
