SKY BROADBAND/LAPTOP ISSUES?
Hey there, I am at my wits end with a technical issue I am currently having and was hoping some of you tech gurus out there might know whats wrong. I am not tech minded so I will explain in points instead of a long winded story.

1 Installed SKY Hub a month ago in my flat. TV Phone and unlimited broadband.
2 Engineer did a signal check after install, reading was excellent.
3 My mobile connects to the network as does my PS3, again both give excellent signal readings.
4 Both mobile and PS3 work perfectly on the network.
5 Laptop connects to network and gives excellent signal reading.
6 Laptop will not let me go online, UNABLE TO ACCESS INTERNET OR UNABLE TO CONNECT TO NETWORK
7 Sometimes it goes ok for a few minutes then one of the above comes up!!!
8. I use google chrome, I can access the internet on my laptop everywhere else without issue except for my flat which is extremley frustrating so I know its not my laptop.
9. Sky keep telling me its excellent signal strength.
10. Before I climb a watch tower does anybody have any idea what might be causing this? Any input welcome

I don't know but it does it to ours. It seems sky recently did something and you may have had a log in screen that you had to get past, that offered parental controls to set. Ever since then the service has been slower and occasionally dropping off. There also appears to be a lot of replacement of Fiber optic cabling in the area.

Sky can measure the difference in bandwidth between there end and yours so can tell if there is a drop to your area. I just haven't had the time to call them myself, but the service has got worse over since the new year.
