internet connection problem?

when i browse the internet on my laptop I have no issue, but when I play online games on my ps3 or laptop I have so much lag. Like it would go smoothly for 1 minute but then i get lag spikes that last for 4 seconds or so. What is the problem? I have comcast internet with 24mbps wifi. I get these problems when no one is in the house and I have a password on my internet so no one is stealing.

That would be either your processor your and your video card. You should check out specs on the game and check what your running it with.

Could be your router/wireless connection. You may have fast internet speeds, but you might have a poor connection to the network, or your router is just iffy. Try a wired connection directly to the modem and see if it persists.
