locking your Internet connection?
I feel that people should stop locking there Internet connection. With things like iPhones and laptops it would be nice to have a strong connection where ever you go. It dosen't cost you money if strangers use your connection and your not at and risk if someone dose. If you lock yours tell me why.

People LOCK their internet connection, simply because they are paying for the access. With unlocked connections, your computer can get hacked into through the open internet connection.

I think you are referring to making your wireless network private? The reason why you should do this is to prevent malicious users hijacking your internet connection, and using it as a base for spamming, hacking etc. So when the "victim" investigates the attack, it finds that you, Mr Jones have been attacking our network! Even though it's not you, but the kid sat outside in his car with a laptop.
