Friends, or should I go for it?

Alright, I really like this girl that I play tennis with, and we get along really well. We started talking around a month and a half ago, but we've known each other for around two years and during that time we would say Hi and catch up a little, but nothing major.(Sorry for the length)

Well, back to the present, we started talking at the tennis program that we both go to (We're in high school), nothing really big but we got along really well. I would've asked for her number, but my phone was broken and I was waiting for the iPhone 5, so that I could get a phone. I got a new phone and I got a new number so I was having to go around asking people for their numbers, I thought that even if she didn't like me it wouldn't be too weird. Anyways, I was going to ask for her number, but we were never alone, or somewhat alone the entire group was there. I never got around to asking her for her number, but later that night she messaged me on facebook giving me her number and asking me to help her study because she knows I get good grades. I helped her study for her test, and ever since then we've been texting every day and I was going to ask her out, but since I've never really done it, I didn't really know how to start it off. Well, around two days ago, a tournament with some pro's started at our club, and I asked her if she wanted to go with me, and she said that she wished she could, but she had to go to homecoming with her boyfriend, which really shocked me.

Now I'm really puzzled and I'm not sure what to do. I mean, I really like her, but I would never try to get her to cheat or anything like that. It really came as a shock to me because she'd never mentioned her boyfriend to me, so now I'm confused. What should I do?

Well as a girl I would say that she told you she had a boyfriend because she can feel your feelings. But at the same time I do think she is attracted to you. It's one of those things where you just keep things the way they are and see what happens down the road. But while you are doing that don't stop looking at other girls as well, you should be happy as well.
