How do I change my avatar? -Directed elsewhere?

I would like to find out how to change my avatar for yahoo. I have looked up many step-by-step instruction sites, but when I hit the link they say to follow, it just directs me to my profile.

When I type in "avatars.yahoo.com" I am directed to my profile.

When I google "Yahoo! Avatar" I am directed to my profile.

It's driving me crazy!

Someone said that google chrome doesn't support the avatar thing, so I tried signing in with Explorer, but it's the same thing.

Someone else said you could do it from your profile, but there is no "edit avatar" option I can find. What is it under? I have looked under account settings and everything else.

I am so lost. Is editing your avatar no longer available?

The avatar creator of Y doesnt exist anymore and the linked sites, too.
So the Links switch automatically to your profile site by the Y-setting for empty links.
You have to use the old ava, create one on another avatar site in Web, use any image or go sample down avas from other users and combine it to a new one with a graphic program. Sorry for bad news. :-(

Yahoo no longer provides avatars however you can create one from other free sites like the links below, there are many more on the internet.If you are on wireless you must wait until you are on a computer.

Choose either a cartoon or a photo avatar you had saved to your pc.
Create a personal avatar below or one of many other avatar sites, not a moving or large one, right click and save it to your computer pc.
Check out the first one if you wish to make a cartoon of your own photo.
