How can I explain to my parents that ebay is a safe website?
I want to buy this album from ebay and they doesn't think it's a safe website, can someone please just write something convincing that I can use. It would mean a lot to me. It's not just a ordinary album it's signed! and I can't buy it where I live...
girl thank you for taking your time answering my question!
it's this CD below, the rating is high! (99.6%) can you look at it and tell me what you think? Smile

Honestly, Ebay is really kind of difficult. I prefer Amazon because I trust it. But as you mentioned, the item you want is not as common so Ebay may be the only place.

Consider a few different factors before you buy:

1. What is the user's sell rating? If it's very high (95%+), then it's likely they are a trusted seller and will actually send out your item(s), and with quality. If their rating is low, or they have now rating, I would definitely not buy, especially if the item is expensive. It doesn't automatically mean the seller is bad, but it does mean you're taking a big risk buying through them.

2. Is the autograph authentic? I have bought a couple Green Day autographs on Ebay only to find out they were fake. Be sure your album is hand signed by the artist, and not the seller.

I use to use Ebay a lot a few years ago. Most of the time I would get what I payed for and was happy. But every so often people will rip you off. I bought the game "Bully" for the Nintendo Wii from someone a few years back - I payed for the item and shipping and waited....... and waited and waited and waited. It never came lol they ripped me off and I was out of luck.

In conclusion, if the sellers credentials check out - I would go for it. Otherwise try scouring the web for a different copy of the album, or even posting in "items wanted" sites. Good luckSmile
