Sub Domains versus a Seperate url for SEO?
I have a url hosted by hostgator lets call it:- example.com it is a site about social media.
Hostgator allow free subdomains so i uploaded golf68.example.com this is a site about golf I want to get as much traffic as possible to the golf68.example.com site Question is should i pay for and host a seperate url like golf68.com for SEO purposes or does Google not care whether my golf site is a sub domain or a seperate url? As far as I know, it shouldn't matter if it's a subdomain or separate.

In my opinion its matter because if you are using sub domain this will be a part of your website and if you are using separate URL then it will be more beneficial because you will get more traffics for a domain comprasion to sub domain.

You can have it as a sub domain and Google will find it. However, one of the biggest things that I tell people is that you need to tailor your site to visitors not search engines. How easy is it for someone to remember an URL that is golf68.example.com or golf68.com. having the "example" in the URL can confuse people. Plus, it is suggested that when you create a site, sub domains are part of the main page so that your site map flows smoothly. If you start a new site within a site, it can be confusing to people and search engine bots as well.
