New internet question?
I just got new internet installed yesterday with TWC for 30Mbps/5Mbps which translates to about 3.75 megabytes/sec and 512kilobytes/sec. I was just wondering how come I am only getting about 1-1.5 megabytes/sec? I know it was just installed so i'm thinking it might take a day or so to fully get up to speed, but is there anything I can do, aside from connecting directly to the modem/router, to get the full 3.75 megabytes or at least 2.5? Please provide links if you can.

Call TWC about this. I think that it is there fault (if you correctly measured the speed).

First try http://www.speedtest.net to see what your speed is. Often people think they are not getting all the speed they should be because a download is maxing out at some speed and it is the server they are downloading from capping the speed.
If you really are not getting the speed you should be then call your internet provider and tell them. |
