My iPhone 5 for tmobile only works with wifi?? Help please?

So I have a iPhone 5 with tmobile and Everytime I leave the house, which has wifi my data seems to stop working. Now this is the 3rd phone I've had with tmobile and my Sony phone was doing the exact same thing. My phone says I have 4G and even LTE but when I go to Facebook Instagram YouTube etc. it all says network error. It's like my phone is only working with wifi. Is anybody else having this issue that can resolve it. My next step is going to the store but I wanted to see if anybody else knew how to fix this issue

I think you apn settings are messed up. You will need to add the correct apn settings to get it working.

Go to Settings, General, Cellular. The first option should say "Cellular Data" and you want to make sure that is set to ON. Otherwise, data is used only when you have a Wi-Fi connection.

I use an iPhone 5 on T-Mobile and it works fine, with or without Wi-Fi.

my iphone 4 will not send mms now that it updated to the iOS 7 I have net10. Wish I didn't update.
