Chrome-Error code: DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET (Google Chrome not working IE is)?

Hi, I'm trying to figure out why I can browse the internet with my IE browser, but not with my newly downloaded Chrome browser, which I downloaded to use Google Hangouts. I just get this

Google Chrome can't display the webpage because your computer isn't connected to the Internet.
Check your Internet connection.
Check any cables and reboot any routers, modems, or other network devices you may be using.
Allow Chrome to access the network in your firewall or antivirus settings.
If it is already listed as a program allowed to access the network, try removing it from the list and adding it again.
Error code: DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET

(((((((With a picture of a dinosaur. Internet Explorer works fine. I thought Chrome and Firefox were supposed to be better than IE. Well not by my standards. Too bad you have to have Chrome to use any Google+ features.)))))

I've unchecked proxy server (it was never checked to begin with) and done both things in the suggestions. Can anyone tell me what is wrong?

This Error means somthing's wrong with your DNS.. The DNS is translating IP addrsses into names like "google.com". Fix any DNS errors that might cause the error. If you don't know anything about your DNS, contact your Provider.

a mi me salio error de DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET al querer conectar un celular a la pc por anclaje tilde en opciones avanzadas de la configuracion que otra persona pueda usar mi equipo lo destilde y pude entrar normalmente . vas a inicio - panel de control - conexiones de red - boton derecho propiedades - opciones avanzadas y destildas si esta esa opcion tildada
