Is it appropriate to add FB friend who is an exwife of my sort of "best friend"?
Hello, I have known her since 2008 since she became a partner and married to my friend who I known long time from school days. So they are divorced few months ago but I can't throw away good memories just like that! So is it appropriate to be a FB friend nothing more with her? Will potential effect on my main friend if I continue to know her or to be FB friend with her? What are the potential consequence I do? Should I accept that and move on?

Depends, if their marriage ended bad I would say no. It will create drama. If it ended good, then it wouldn't be so bad but before anything if you value you friend's friendship. ask him first if it's cool with him. Then it's all good.

Ask him how he feels about it 1st. I know my feelings got hurt when my friend added my husband's ex wife. That's kinda different though...

Absolutely nothing wrong.

1st - She is free to add whoever she wants as her friend in FB. There are no laws against it.

2nd - So are you.

3rd - If you are worried if you might be "cheating", this is FB, not porn site.

4th - She is your friend's EX-WIFE, not current wife. What she does is none of your friend's business anymore. He does not own her. Vice versa. So if she ends up liking you more than a friend, nothing wrong with that at all.

If your friend gets upset (which I think he will be very stupid if he does), then it is up to you to choose who is more important to you - Your friend, or his ex-wife.

I think you should ask him. It will show that you respect his feelings.
The reasons it could hurt him are. That she will have a bit more insight to what he is doing now. It could make him feel she is intruding or in his life more.
Fb is a weird thing. It puts people's lives on show even those who don't use much.
If you don't ask him and he then finds out, it could make him feel a bit unsure of your motives.
