Is this really love?
There is a guy I like but he really likes another girl. I'm just wondering if you think his feelings for her sound like t's really love or just a passing crush?

They met (through me!!!) in December and just chatted for a while. I guess he really liked her because later that day he searched for her contact details online and then emailed her asking her out. In Jan and Feb, they went on a few dates and by the 3rd date they kissed. He messaged her everyday and they talked a lot too.

Well after a while, she realized he liked her more than she liked him, so she decided to break it off and they agreed to stay friends. Since then, he continues to message her everyday and they chat for hours sometimes or even the whole day if it's Saturday. He really wants to see her but she says that it's too soon and they need some space.

She tried to make it clear that they are just friends and he says he understands, but he keeps persisting with talking to her and wanting to hang out.

This week is his birthday and he asked her to have dinner with him. He didn't even tell her it was his birthday, just asked if she wanted to meet up and said it was his treat...then she saw on facebook it was his birthday and agreed to go to be nice to him.

When they were still dating, he told her that he has never felt this way and developed feelings for someone so quickly.

Do you think he's really in love with her?

If she keeps rejecting him, how long do you think it will take to get over it?

If I am there to be his friend, will he ever start to have feelings for me?
I don't have a relationship with him....we are just friends, nothing romantic!!! He is nice to me but never tried to hit on me or anything like that....I just like him

He's in love with her so he'll keep trying. If she breaks up with him he'll still think about her. If you get with him, you'll be the gf who'll have to listen all the BS of how much in love he was with her (and probably still is) and will run to her side when she wants him.

So please please please find someone else or he'll shred your heart. You're already feel tormented.

Sounds like kiddy land crap to me. Focus on your education first and boys later.

I didn't read past "he emailed her and asked her out".

If a guy emailed or texted me asking for a date i'd wonder what planet he was from. If a man can't call me and ask, i won't go out.
