splitter for cable tv/computer connection?
i'm wanting to plug my ethernet cable into my desktop pc, but it's currently plugged into the little black box my "cable tv". do i use a splitter, coupler, or what? will this weaken my internet speed or picture quality?

to make myself clear...i don't want to use wireless connection on this pc. thanks.

You don't have a router with at least 4 ethernet ports? If not, buy one. They are very common, available everywhere: Best Buy, Radio Shack, online, etc.

No, by using the router your Internet speed and TV reception should be unaffected.
